The accident that took Justin’s life is still under investigation by the Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit. According to the police, Justin was standing on the east side of University Avenue when he ran west across the street. Regrettably, a northbound passenger vehicle struck him. A 20-year-old Raven Barrow was driving the vehicle.

In an effort to extend their support to Justin’s grieving family and provide assistance with the substantial medical and funeral expenses, his fraternity brother Dalton Blandford initiated a GoFundMe campaign. This crowdfunding campaign garnered an impressive sum, totaling over $40,000, contributed by the generosity of numerous donors eager to express their solidarity and appreciation for Justin.
The family of the deceased conveyed their deep gratitude to all those who offered their prayers and made contributions, conveying that they were deeply moved by the overwhelming display of love and empathy during this challenging period.
